God does not give ua a spirit of fear, but of power, of love and of a sound mind.(2 Timothy 1:7). We are not to be timid and afraid of any man. No man has control over another man’s life. Some people been wrapped into slavery by fear. We have been told if we speak out against another we are being disobedient or breaking the law.
What is life to a person if they have no freedom of free speech or a will to live? When we allow the power of God to flow in our lives, the forces of evil will come against us. We have become a threat to Satan and his dominion. The forces of evil try to defeat the work that God is doing in our lives by sending an evil spirit of fear to come against us.
When we succumb to fear, we are not moving in the love and power of the Holy Spirit. This bondage of fear robs many Christians of the freedom that God intends for them to have in life. fear also severely lessens their effectiveness in reaching the lost.
One of the ways that fear comes against us is in the fear of man. When people fear others that says they have no faith in God, who said we are all made equal and there is no fear for those that believe in Him.
Proverbs 29:25 – fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whosoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.
Luke 12:4 – I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.
John:12:43 – For they love praise from men more than praise from God.
Proverbs 18:10: – The name of the lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.
