Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law is in the news once again, as jury selection begins in the trial of Michael Dunn. The 47-year-old claims he felt threatened by a group of teenagers parked next to him at a gas station in 2012. Dunn got into a verbal altercation with the group after asking them to turn their music down, and eventually pulled out a gun and began shooting, saying that he thought one of the boys was reaching for a shotgun. Jordan Davis, a 17-year-old, was killed. No weapon was found in the teenagers’ car. RT’s Meghan Lopez takes a look at how the Dunn trial compares with the George Zimmerman trial that also occurred in Florida.
